*walks into the room* *sees that David and Neal are asleep and turns to Mary Margaret* Hello dear, you look exhausted. Why don't you come with me for a cup of coffee so we can talk a little, huh?

*quickly wipes away her tears* I don't want to leave them.

*gives her a sad smile* Brenda is going to be with them the whole time, so if there is any medical care needed, she will be there. *Calls over to the nursestation* Aren't you Brenda?! *Brenda walks in and nods* Come on, let's go for a walk.

You know you have two real fighters in your family, especially that little boy of yours. *smiles* *they walk over to the coffeestation* So what do you want? We have coffee, espresso, tea, name it.

Yeah, our family really are survivors. *smiles sadly* Hot chocolate with cinnamon would be nice.

With cinnamon, huh? Weird combination, lucky for you we have both of those things here! *gets a mug and puts it in the machine and pushes the button for hot chocolate* *looks at her* How are you doing, dear?

I just... I hate seeing them go through that. I feel so helpless, like there's nothing I can do for them.

*places a hand on her arm and looks her in the eye* Don't think like that, honey. *smiles* You are doing everything you can. You help them more than you know. Before Neal went under he meantioned a moment with his family, a happy memory with you in it. You helped him to get through it. You help them both to keep fighting. I know it is hard to see your family going through that, but they will get better. As you said, your family are survivors.

*smiles* Yeah I guess you're right. It's just hard... I couldn't be there for my daughter when she was growing up, I missed everything. I'm here with my son Neal for everything and it's just the worst thing to watch your child go through something like that.

*smiles sadly and hands her the coco and gives her the cinnamon jar* I know exactly what you mean, I went through something similiar with my niece who is like a daughter to me. *nods* But the important thing is you are there for her now. *puts her own mug under the machine and pushes the coffee button*

Good to hear. *grabs her coffee and zips on it* You know, I heard Whale talking, *whispers* David can home soon if he wound check is clear this afternoon, and believe me, I am almost 100% sure it is! *winks at her*

You don't have too. David is a grown man, he can walk and manages things on his own as long as keeps it safe and doesn't do any heavy work or something, and he has to stay in bed! *frowns* But speaking of Neal.. *looks at her coffee* We need to do his wound check too this afternoon.
